When you begin, you'll see,
All the horrid places I've been.
A sterile hospital bed,

I remember these words,
Now a silent recluse.
The scene changes,
Here we go again,
Just open your eyes,
And wonder: when?
Here is my hollow forest,
With its tainted breath,
I am resigned to stay here,
A fate worse than death.
Can you see the blood,
Feel the dampened leaves,
Smell the horrid mold,
And hear the stolid thieves?

Feel lucky that you left,

Walking the Gray Line: Chapter 7
The Hollow
The next morning, dense, angry looking clouds coated the sky, blocking out most of the light from the sun. Fog spiraled down into the clearing, shrouding most of the surroundings from view. The normally chattering wildlife remained quite. Most of them were hidden away in their burrows from the rain.
A peal of thunder echoed off in the distance and broke the cloak of silence. My eyelids slowly rose, still heavy with sleep. I yawned and sat up straight, blinking the fuzziness out of them as the world came into better clarity. The activities I had engaged in a few hours ago steadily came back to mind, and I smiled softly, th

A lone raven cawed from the domain of Necrosis, the Entity of Death. It perched on the twisted branch of a gnarled oak tree. The bird trained its beady eyes on the winding path that led to the clearing he held his home in. Necrosis had instructed him to warn her when the other entities began to arrive.
His sensitive ears had picked up on a crunching noise that normally never existed in this area, causing him to utter a warning squawk. He narrowed his eyes, focusing on several moving forms. They steadily moved closer, taking short cuts to get to the clearing faster.
The raven, Raucous, waited as long as he dared before raisi

The deluge that seemed to have been sent by Torrent himself faded into a calm drizzle before ceasing completely. Gale's winds swept the heavy gray clouds away, letting the moon and the stars illuminate the soaked clearing below, soft white light reflecting across the sides of the two hills.
A light fog had gathered, though the temperature drop made it nearly translucent. The occasional, lone creature of summer would cry into the night, breaking the quiescence the sky attempted to hold.
When all had fallen silent once more, a small water droplet fell from the edge of the overhang, splattering across the side of my face and

I. Alright guys, you know the drill, choose 5 of your OCs and add a short description below (Even if you know what they look like the people who read it don't! Write it as if you were explaining it to an idiot!). If you don't have 5 OCs then make one up on the spot! Seriously, sometimes the random characters you make are some of the ones you have the most fun with.

The next two days passed quickly. Though there was not much to do, I always managed to find something that captured my interest. Much to Setro's chagrin, on the dawn of the second day, I managed to slip away. I turned invisible and ran south of the housing district and out to the sloping moorlands nearby.
I had probably been running for nearly ten minutes when I stopped. My throat pulsed with heat, and I could feel my heartbeat reverberating through my head. I sat down at the top of the hill I had stopped at and breathed deeply, willing my pulse to slow. I wiped the sweat off of my face and glanced up at the sky.

Ashen clouds undulated about in a clearing shrouded with mystery. The withered grass curled dejectedly in clumps while scarlet tendrils of light darted through the air, coalescing with the gray mist to create a streaking mass of pain. A pool rested at the center of the clearing, eight colors rippling across the surface.
Eight respective figures sat around the edges of the pool, humanoid yet not human, solid yet misty, black yet emitting a colored hue. They spoke in low whispers, each voice distinctly unique and chilling. Each of them had a name somehow relating to their color.

As I ran down the road leading away from the school, my footsteps echoing loudly, two observations assailed my senses. The first was the fact that the sky still held its deathly scarlet glow, yet the rutilus imber had ceased falling. The second was absence of not only people, but also vehicles. One would assume that when the rutilus imber began to fall, a person would flee his or vehicle in search of the nearest shelter. However, I only spotted one or two lone cars on the road.
I stopped to ponder this, but then I remembered that the governmental broadcast would have been heard by virtual

Empty. Absolutely empty. I felt this way on the day it all started. A knot of tension formed in between my shoulder blades during the third period of the day. My blood turned to ice, and my face went ashen. No, not this, not now, the thought crossed my mind. I was not prepared.
I did not know what to do. I did not know where to go. I just knew that I needed to get out, immediately. In the middle of my teacher's lecture, I fumbled with my flimsy agenda book, writing down my name, the date, the time, and where I needed to go in ob

ANYWAYS...I still plan on writing Walking the Gray Line...I love Enya (Awn-yuh for those who failed to pronounce it **coughs** Emo **coughs**) and the others far too much to abandon them...but I also have had some interesting concepts floating around in my mind, and I sort of feel the need to write them down/get them out.
So I suppose I need help? I doubt anyone will actually comment...save a few, so your opinions are not too necessary, but I suppose I will ask for them anyways. I need to work on more than one project at once to be "happy", so I which would you prefer reading?
